Love having this holiday post and thanks to Simon Audio three (3) copies of the audiobook to giveaway. DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW co-authored by Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark. Once again the two have mashed their much beloved characters Alvirah Meehan and Regan Reilly in a mystery/light novel.
If you recognize these characters that is because you are Higgins Clark fans and you know the treat you are in for. If not, this duo has sent the two women and their husbands and Regan’s mom in tow visitng a small town, Branscombe that host’s a holiday fesitval. Alvirah is a lottery winner and part time amateur investigator. Regan is a private investigator married to an esteemed member of the Boston PD.
Right before the festival a group of the local grocery store employees that had a lottery ticket pool and they just found out their numbers hit a huge jackpot. As it turns out one of the members of the lottery pool who sat this one out had gone missing. His fellow pool members had decided to cut Duncan in as the winning ticket was his number sequence. When he finally turned up and they shared the good news it was short lived as Duncan’s girlfriend is missing. And if that is not enough there are a host of bad folks that are up to no good in this small town. Thank goodness Alvirah and Regan cannot rest until they help poor Duncan.
This is a quick listen, perfect for the commute. Higgins Clark squared are never short on qwirky characters, charm and a villian or two. If there is one thing this mother and daughter team has mastered is lead characters that we want to follow wherever they are willing to take us.
I so enjoyed this audiobook and would not hesitate to listen to the next installment. Forgive me Carol, but I did not think your reading of the story was the best part. But not to fret as you have many best selling novels under your belt and I am sure more to come.
I have three copies to share, to enter leave a comment with your favorite holiday read. This contest is open until the new year is here at midnight CST.
These are two of my favorite authors. Since I will be commuting more for work, I would love to win.’
thank you for sharing your bounty~
For the new commute audiobooks will save the day.
I would love this audio!! I’ve never read over the holidays so i don’t know if i could name one-I’m usually a movie watcher during the holidays…or a baker! 🙂 But would love to win!!
I love movies at the holidays too. Not much of a baker but miss the smells of the kitchen in the house.
Hmmm…favorite holiday read? Wow … as a child, I loved reading this book about “The Nutcracker.” The book itself came with ornaments and I would be fascinated with each page, with with ornaments, with each image. Now, however, I find coziness and comfort in whatever I read, the latest of which is Erica Bauermeister.
Thank you for hosting the giveaway!
