Time Out From Reading Cause Today is All About The Cookies

Visit Frosting for the Cause today as I am honored to be the guest blogger.  This was a wonderful project I learned about through Twitter and wanted to join up. However, as with most things, I did not think it through as I am short on baking skills and know how.

To fix the baking deficit I reached out to a friend and she jumped right on it even though her life is quite busy.  Little did I know she would recruit a fairy cookie princess and their little ones too…you have to visit to see the fun that ensued: Frostingfor the Cause.  Turned out it was so much more than a needed baking lesson and support but a reinforcement of friendship, love and cookie hugs all the way around.

As I lost my mom to breast cancer, this disease is always front and center for me.  For those whom I bug regularly forgive me but know it comes from the heart.  For everyone else that might see today’s post please care for yourselves and those in your life because early detection is the best prevention.  Being surrounded by so many survivors makes everything I do for the fight so worthwhile.

Mom, I dedicate this post to you cause you are always in my heart.  While I know you love the kitchen there was nothing more you loved then making special moments and that is exactly what we did.  See mom you are still bringing us together which I know makes you smile and I am smiling too.

XOXOXOXO
